The heartbeat of Gallagher-Iba Arena has always been the students. With the growing anticipation for Cowboy Basketball, Cowboy Wrestling and Cowgirl Basketball next season, we have made the decision to return the majority of the GIA floor seats to OSU students and, once again, make GIA the rowdiest arena in America.
To make GIA as loud as possible the student section will wrap around three sides of the court – the north end, west side and south end – uninterrupted from section 104 to 112.
We understand this will reduce the number of orange chairbacks available on the floor level, so we are adding more comfortable floor seats which will now surround three sides of the arena on the front row, and those seats will be offered at new, more accessible price points.
It’s time to restore the roar to GIA!
– Coach Mike Holder
As a 100 level season ticket holder, you will receive a specific date and time for your seat selections in late June. You will be able to select your new locations at the event later this summer.
Until then, your 100 level tickets are currently in your account as a FLOOR placeholder and eligible for renewal. If you choose to start an installment plan, you will be able to adjust your plan to your new balance once your new locations are selected.
With special teams and coaches returning to GIA next year, we recognized this was an undeniable opportunity to help return GIA to its status of America’s Rowdiest Arena and one of the hardest places for opponents to play. The heartbeat of GIA is our students, who provide that intense energy and having that so close to the court will enhance the experience for everyone in GIA.
We will reseat the 100 level of the arena in three separate events for Cowboy Basketball, Cowgirl Basketball, and Cowboy Wrestling season ticket holders. Season tickets in the 200 and 300 levels will not be impacted and may be renewed as normal.
100 level seat selections will take place in person at Gallagher-Iba Arena this summer. Dates will be announced in the near future and selection times will be announced about 2 weeks before each sport’s selection day. Please check your account contact information HERE to ensure we have the most up-to-date contact information on your account.
The reseats for each sport’s 100 level seating will be in rank order by POSSE Priority Points. POSSE Priority points are based primarily on a combination of lifetime POSSE giving and season ticket holder longevity.
If you’d like to select as soon as your time permits but are unavailable at that time, please call the OSU Athletics Fan Service team at 877-255-4678 so we can work with you on other options. For your protection, we will not let someone select seats for you without you first confirming your wish for someone to do so on your behalf. If that is not an option, you may schedule a time for a Fan Service team member to call you around your seat selection time to help select seats for you.
As each sport has a different mix of fans and POSSE Priority ranks, all season ticket holders for each sport will need to select within each sport’s season ticket holder seat selection event. If you have 100 level tickets for multiple winter sports, you will receive multiple seat selection times and will need to select seats for only one sport at each selection time. This ensures a fair process for every season ticket holder.
To guarantee you sit with your friends/family, you would all need to select together at the latest of your seat selection times. Please notify us if this is the case for you so we can mark you as selecting later and ensure you don’t miss your group’s seat selection time.
The current front row chairback floor seats are being replaced with more comfortable seats and will now surround three sides of the arena. They will have access to the Courtside Club and have concierge service. Prices will be $7,500 and $10,000 for Cowboy Basketball, varying by location. Front row seats for Cowgirl Basketball and Cowboy Wrestling will be $650.
No – all 2019 100 level season ticket holders will receive a seat selection time. No action is required.
If you have a 200 or 300 level seat, you will need to renew it to maintain that location for the season and participate in the seat upgrade process in late summer/early fall.
Payment plans are available online or through our ticket office now. If you have a 100 level seat, you may start a payment plan for the FLOOR place holder in your account. The plan’s monthly installments can be adjusted to your updated total after you select your location this summer.
